Since our days as infants we have all been taught that in the end love always wins. The good guy defeats the bad guy, the guy and girl get together in the end, and that love always defeats hate.
I remember watching the award winning movie Interstellar with Matthew McConaughey and having my mind completely blown, not by the amazing cinematography and story, but by a single quote by Anne Hathaway’s character:
“Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can’t yet understand it.”
In celebration of the amazing powers of love, and all those we love all over the world, living and those beyond, we wanted to showcase our 3 favorite coloring books that celebrate love at its best.
Power Of Love Coloring Book
This coloring book by best selling artist Thaneeya McArdle features 40 designs with artwork like mandalas assembled of hearts, animals in love, and even very fun calligraphy designs that are filled with floral details. This coloring book will be entertaining for both novice colorists and those with more experience due to the good mix of easy and more detailed designs.
One of my favorite parts about this coloring book is that it comes with a sheet of helpful tips on how to get the best finished product. These tips will be especially helpful for those who are new to coloring.
The designs in this coloring book are printed single sided on semi thick, acid free, bright white paper. The pages are perforated for easy removal before or after completing the design based on your preference. Although we found that bleed through won’t be a problem with most ink, we do suggest using a spare sheet of paper between pages when using markers to stop any severe bleed through from ruining the designs on the following pages.
Adult Coloring Book of Love
This adult coloring book is a wonderful celebration of love. Produced and printed by ACB | Adult Coloring Books it features 55 designs made up of hearts, animals, Valentine’s Day staples, along with trees and flowers all decorated to show love. This coloring book features a food mixture of easy designs and more intricate ones with several being very intricate in one area, while the rest of the design is left mostly blank. We tend to prefer designs that completely fill out the page, however some blank space is great since it gives you the opportunity to add in some designs of your own.
The designs in this coloring book are printed single sided on regular white paper. Even though the designs are printed single sided we highly recommend using either a spare piece of paper or even better card stock in between pages to soak up bleed through that will occur when using gel pens or markers.
Share The Love Adult Coloring Book
This adult coloring book by Papeterie Bleu won out over the rest of the competition as our favorite love coloring book because of it’s detailed and original designs. It is difficult to be original when creating designs about love, you can only color so many hears before you lose interest, but the artists behind this coloring book did an awesome job through the use of interesting patterns and calligraphy.
This coloring book is perfect for more experienced colorists who enjoy detailed designs. Beginners may find the designs a bit overwhelming since the pages are filled almost to a maximum but they will find them just as entertaining once started.
This coloring book features 30 designs printed single sided on medium weight paper. We do recommend using a spare piece of paper or card stock in between pages to soak up any bleed through especially when using markers. Our only negative mark is that we wish that the pages were perforated to make it easier to remove and display the completed art.
